Natasha has served as Government Whip since April 2016. The function of the Government Whip is to help manage legislative business on the floor of the House, votes in the chamber, and ensure party discipline.
Natasha was appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary for Health in April 2019. Since March 2011, we have made it a priority to deliver a health system that is accessible and sustainable to ensure our children and grandchildren receive the same high quality health care that we currently receive. We are investing more than $8 billion over the next four years on health infrastructure across NSW and completed over 100 new and upgraded hospitals and health facilities, including more than 63 in regional NSW, with another 115 projects underway or committed. While in government, the NSW Liberals and Nationals have boosted the nursing workforce by almost 20 per cent to 51,890 and the number of doctors by 35 per cent to 12,100. Over the years, the NSW Liberal-National Government has made the necessary decisions to provide strong financial management, and created the economic framework needed to deliver growth, that has allowed us to deliver record investments in infrastructure and frontline services our community needs.
Natasha is the Chair of the Selection of Bills Committee, which was established to consider all bills introduced to either House and report on whether any bill should be referred to a committee for detailed discussion, inquiry and report.
Natasha is the Deputy Chair of Portfolio Committee No.3 - Education and the purpose of this committee is to inquire into and report on any matters regarding the expenditure, performance or effectiveness of any Government department, statutory body or corporation within the portfolios of Education, Health, Early Childhood Education, Aboriginal Affairs, Mental Health, Medical Research, Women and Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
