NEW PROGRAM FOR OUR BEST TEACHERS

A new program launched by the Liberals and Nationals Government today will see our 30 best teachers and 20 highest performing teaching graduates recruited to participate in a new program designed to fast track their careers to the level of Principal within ten years.

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health said the Fast Stream Program will raise education standards across the state, and in particular support regional schools with some of our best staff, ensuring a safer and stronger regional NSW.

$3.5 MILLION BOOST FOR THE REGIONAL NSW VISITOR ECONOMY

The NSW Government is giving the state’s regional visitor economy a $3.5 million boost through funding programs to support the development of new attractions and visitor infrastructure, to refresh existing tourism products, and to secure or create new business event opportunities.

The programs, offered by Destination NSW, will help businesses and regional communities recover from the impact of drought, floods, bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic by creating jobs, enhancing the appeal of regional NSW, and improving the quality of the visitor experience.

HELPING NSW SENIORS TO STAY SOCIAL IN NSW

NSW organisations which help seniors stay social and connected can now apply for a share in $600,000 from the NSW Government’s Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors Grant Program.

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health said grants of up to $60,000 are available for projects that help older people stay connected.
