QUALITY CHILDCARE FOR ALL NSW FAMILIES

Quality childcare information is now readily available at parents’ and caregivers’ fingertips with the launch of the NSW Government’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) Finder.

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC said the new website will provide key information to help young families make informed decisions and understand what to look for when choosing a care provider for their child.

“It is so important to provide our young families with reliable and confident sources of information that families can trust,” Mrs Maclaren-Jones said.

$16 MILLION PLAN FOR STATE’S WORLD-CLASS DAIRY INDUSTRY

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health has welcomed today’s announcement by the NSW and Australian Governments to provide a $6 million grant for the State’s dairy sector, to help navigate its way out of the impacts of bushfires and drought.

Mrs Maclaren-Jones said the $6 million co-investment was part of a $16 million project, with further significant contributions from Dairy Australia, the University of Sydney, the private sector, and the broader state and national dairy industries.

SYDNEY BEACHES RECIEVE ADDITIONAL SHARK SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Swimmers and surfers at some of Sydney’s busiest and most iconic spots, including Bondi, Bronte and Maroubra Beaches, have received a shark-spotting boost, through the NSW Government’s Shark Observation Grants Program.

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health said today the Program would deliver an extra five shark-spotting drones, emergency evacuation alarms, lifeguard training and more, to further improve surveillance at NSW beaches.

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health is encouraging local communities to get involved in NSW Women’s Week and celebrate the achievements of women.

“Women deserve to be celebrated for the outstanding contributions they make across our state in social, economic, cultural and political spheres,” Mrs Maclaren-Jones said.

Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor said that empowering women was crucial to building a safer, stronger NSW.
