NEW LAWS TO STOP CRACK DOWN ON CRIMINALS AND SAFEGUARD SOCIAL HOUSING TENANTS
Friday, 16 October 2015Criminal activity in social housing communities will no longer be tolerated with new laws cracking down on anti-social and illegal behaviour amongst tenants passing NSW Parliament this week.
Member of the Legislative Council Natasha Maclaren-Jones said the Residential Tenancies and Housing Legislation Amendment (Public Housing - Antisocial Behaviour) Act will make it easier for social housing landlords to evict people who have committed serious crimes such as drug dealing which can make their neighbours’ lives a misery.
