STARTING A DIALOGUE FOR NATIONAL ADOPTION AWARENESS WEEK – NOVEMBER 8-14

Member of the Legislative Council, Natasha Maclaren-Jones has welcomed the NSW Government’s open and honest discussion about out-of-home-care adoptions ahead of National Adoption Awareness Week (NAWW).

Mrs Maclaren-Jones said the Ministerial Open Adoption Forum held in Sydney on October 26 captured the voices of those most important to the question of adoption – children and young people.

New strata laws passed by the NSW Parliament today will provide owners and tenants with greater flexibility in everyday living, Member of the Legislative Council Natasha Maclaren-Jones announced today.

The Strata Scheme Management Bill and Strata Scheme Development Bill contain almost90 changes to the existing laws on issues including collective sale, renovations, proxy farming, defects and model by-laws.

Member of the Legislative Council, Natasha Maclaren-Jones is calling on young people in NSW to enter this year’s Premier’s Anzac Ambassadors Program for an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of heroes.

The program, which is sponsored by ClubsNSW, is open to all young people aged between 16 and 17 across NSW and the successful six applicants will retrace the steps of Australian soldiers across Athens, Lemnos, Crete, Paris, Ieper and the Somme in April 2016.
