LIGHTS, CAMERA, DETECTION: NSW DRIVERS BEWARE

Drivers in NSW are reminded that mobile phone detection cameras are now operating across the state.

Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health said the world-first safety technology started operating on December 1 and will target illegal mobile phone use by drivers through fixed and transportable trailer-mounted cameras.

EMPLOYERS URGED TO HIRE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

The Honourable Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Government Whip in the Legislative Council and Parliamentary Secretary for Health is encouraging employers in NSW to hire more people with disability and promote inclusion in their workplace.

“Participation and leadership are themes of this year’s International Day of People with Disability and that should extend to the workplace,” Mrs Maclaren-Jones said.

MILESTONE REACHED ON LISMORE BASE HOSPITAL

Lismore Base Hospital’s new North Tower has been completed ahead of schedule, marking a major milestone in the $322 million Stage 3 redevelopment project.

Parliamentary Secretary for Health, the Hon Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC inspected the eight-storey building today, ahead of it being handed over to the Northern NSW Local Health District.

“The construction company John Holland and Health Infrastructure have done a fantastic job completing the project two months ahead of schedule,” Mrs Maclaren-Jones said.
